Payment Options
If you have Private Health "Extras" your claim can be processed at the time of your appointment using HICAPS. We accept Cash, VISA, MasterCard, EFTPOS and Cheques.
Veterans - the Department of Veterans Affairs will cover the costs of treatment for Veterans and their widows. A doctors referral is required.
Medicare - If you are seeing your doctor about one or more conditions other than your musculoskeletal condition you may be able to have some Osteopathic treatments under the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) scheme. Your GP can refer you for up to five visits and Medicare will rebate you a little over $50 per visit. If you think you might be eligable speak to your doctor.
Motor Accident Claims - If you are injured in a motor vehicle accident, your treatment is fully covered by MAIB and there is no need for a doctor's referral. See MAIB's website www.maib.tas.gov.au to get a claim form and claim number but come for treatment a soon as you can after the accident. You do not have to wait until you have submitted your claim form or received your claim number before you commence treatment.
Workers' Compensation Insurance - Osteopathic treatment is covered by Worker's Compensation Insurance, and we can bill the insurance company directly. Prior to treatment a doctor will need to sign your Workers Compensation Form but once the form is signed you do not require a Doctor's referral for Osteopathic treatment to be covered.
(NOTE: If for any reason MAIB or your employers insurer does not accept liability or ceases to accept liability you will be personally responsible for payment of your account.)
